Explanation:
The plasma of the blood is filtered in the capillary area to the area surrounding the cells.
The lymphatic system absorbs the tissue fluid from around the cells and circulates it back to the blood via the thoracic duct then into the vena cava .
So it is not the blood as a whole but many components of it in the form of lymph , which is the liquid that circulates in the lymphatic system.
