No it does not. Prokaryotic cells lack the nucleus that is an essential component of mitotic or meiotic cell division.

Explanation:

Instead of mitosis, prokaryotes divide by asexual means through fission (either binary, transverse or multiple/schizoid). Bear in mind that meiosis only occurs on sex cells and are not applicable to prokaryotic cells.
