You just have to rearrange the equation so you have $x$ $x$ on one side.

$4 x^{\frac{1}{4}} - 3 = 21$ $4x^(1/4)-3=21$

$4 x^{\frac{1}{4}} = 21 + 3$ $4x^(1/4)=21+3$
