They separate when the have to separate.
Explanation:
Many cells divide when they feel like they have gone to a good place to divide.
Some cells like cancer cells divide in order to grow and become more deadly.
When cells in the body are running low, like blood cells, they are told from the brain to produce more cells. They send messages to the bone marrow where blood cells are made.
