Glucose#(C_6H_12O_6)#is only a six carbon molecule and known as a form of carbohydrates. It is stored in the form ATP in the mitochondria.

Explanation:

During the respiration, glucose is broke down into a three carbon molecule called pyruvate in the cytoplasm.
Further, pyruvate is converted into carbon dioxide#(CO_2)#, water#(H_2O)#and energy in the mitochondria in the presence of oxygen #(O_2)#.This type of respiration is called aerobic respiration.

But, when there is lack of oxygen#(O_2)# then pyruvate is converted into lactic acids, energy in our muscles and accumulation of lactic acids in our body cause pain to us.This type of respiration is known as anaerobic respiration.

After this, all the energy is stored in the form of ATP in the mitochondria and provide this energy to different organs of the body as per their requirements.
