First, solve for #"y"#

#y2=6x#

#(ycancel2)/cancel2=(6x)/2#

#y=(6x)/2#

Now give #"x"# any value you want to find the corresponding value for #"y"#
I like to use -2, -1, 0, 1, and 2.

I'll do -2

#y=(6x)/2#

#y=(6(-2))/2#

#y=-12/2#

#y=-6#

So, when we let #x=-2# we get that #y=-6#
