How many ohms of resistance must be present in a circuit that has has 240 volts and a current of 15 amps?

We just have to use ohm's law:-

#V = I*R#

where, #V# is the net potential difference in the circuit, #I# is the current in the circuit and #R# is the net resistance of the circuit.

In this case, #V = 240# volts, #I = 15# amperes.

#therefore# #240 = 15*R#
#=> R=240/15 = 16# ohms
