Explanation:

When we redraw the triangle we get a right-angled triangle.
This is my drawing
To solve this problem we can use trigonometric function. These are sin, cos, tan. For this we only use sin and cos.

sin = (O)/(H)

cos = A/H

O= opposite
A= adjacent
H= hypotenuse

sin 74 = (V_h)/37

V_h =37 xx sin74

= 35.57 ms^-1

Horizontal component = 35.57 ms^-1

cos 74 = (V_v)/37

V_v = 37 xx cos74

= 10.20 ms^-1

Vertical component = 10.20 ms^-1
