Explanation:

Biotic examples are all living things in an ecosystem. Humans, animals, plants, trees, grass, bacteria, fungi, microorganisms, dead organisms, etc.

These can be called biotic factors , because they affect one another. They are categorised into three groups.

  • Producers (convert energy to food via photosynthesis)
    Green algae, grass, shrubs, seaweeds etc.

  • Consumers (rely upon producers for food)
    catfish, crab, dingo, humans etc.

  • Decomposers (break down chemicals from consumers and producers into simpler forms, so that it can be used again)
    fungi, bacteria, cockroaches, flies etc.
