Blood vessels transport blood to different parts of the body.

Explanation:

Blood vessels are a 'medium' for blood to reach various parts of the body.

They are classified into two types on the basis of their function:

  • Arteries
  • Veins

Arteries are blood vessels that carry OXYGENATED blood from the heart to all of the parts of the body. (As all of our body parts need rich oxygenated blood)

Veins are blood vessels that carry DE - OXYGENATED blood from the various parts of our body to the lungs ( To make the DE - oxygenated blood rich with oxygen) and back to the heart.

This makes our circulatory system.
