12

Explanation:

To solve least common multiple the easiest, I would draw a table

3 6 9 12
4 8 12

And lets stop right there. What number do we see in common? 12.

3 6 9 12
4 8 12

So I know the denominator (bottom number in a fraction) is going to be 12. 12, is also the least common multiple because both 2/3 and 3/4 go into 12 evenly.

EXTRA

If you want to further solve this, you would get
#2/3=# #x/12#
Well I know 3 goes into 12 four times, so now I have to multiply two and four because whatever you do to the denominator (bottom number in fraction), you do to the numerator (top number in fraction)
2 multiplied by 4 is 6 so it would be #6/12#

For this one, like the above one, you ask yourself, "How many times does 4 go into 12?" The answer is 3. And like I said above, whatever you do to the denominator (bottom number in fraction), you do to the numerator (top number in fraction). 4 times 3 is 12, so now you do 3 times 3 is 9. Your answer for this one, is #9/12#
#3/4# #x/12#
