Hence, X intercept of the line is 2 unit

Alternative Solution

As said before,The x-intercepts are where the graph crosses the x-axis. Now where the graph crosses or interest X axis , the Y co-ordinate of the point is "zero"
So, we can find the X intercept by putting #Y =0# In the equation.

#y = -4 +2*x#
#=> 2*x -4 =0#
#=> x = 4/2 = 2#
