Explanation:
Areas with high air pressure (high pressure systems) generally results in that area having stable weather, no rain and little cloud cover.
The reason is that high pressure system represent sinking air and clouds form when there is rising air (low pressure systems). So high pressure systems will generally result in clear, stable weather.

all right, we can also say that, since vapour water is lighter of air (MM 18 against 29) with high pressure we have dry weather and seldom clouds
