Explanation:
The nerve clusters of hypothalamus produce many releasing and inhibiting hormones.
Examples:
- Hypothalamus produces somatotrophin releasing factor
(SRF) which stimulates the anterior lobe of pituitary gland to produce somatotrophin hormone(STH) . - Similarly, hypothalamus releases thyrotrophin releasing factor
(TRF) which stimulates the anterior pituitary to secrete thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH) .
