Show that the acceleration of a hamster is 5 m/s^2 when it increase its velocity from rest to 10 m/s in 2 s ?

I want details please.. thank you ^^

Take the change over time

Explanation:

This can easily be related to how average velocity is found.
You take one position, another position and the time it took to get there in order to find the average speed moving between those two positions.
In this case, you're taking two speeds and the time it took to change from one speed to the next, using your general average formula:
#a=(v_f-f_i)/t#
All that has been said here is that the average acceleration is equal to the change in speed over the change in time.
Plug in your numbers, #v_f=10m/s, v_i=0m/s# and #t=2s# and you get
#a=(10m/s-0)/(2s)=10/2m/(s^2)=5m/s^2#
