Let $x$ $x$ be Antonio's age and $y$ $y$ be Sarah's age. Then

$2 x + 3 y = 34$ $2x+3y = 34$
$y = 5 x$ $y = 5x$

So use equation (2) in (1)

$2 x + 3 (5 x) = 34$ $2x+3(5x) = 34$
$2 x + 15 x = 34$ $2x+15x = 34$
$17 x = 34$ $17x = 34$
$x = 2$ $x = 2$

Then $y = 5 x = 5 (2) = 10$ $y = 5x = 5(2) = 10$

So

Antonio's age is 2
Sarah's age is 10
