Every sentence can be re-written in infinite ways, depending on the education level and experience of the author.
That being said, I would chop up the sentence in order to avoid the run on sentence. I would rewrite the sentence in the following way:
The fact that 19-year-old Mary is nagging me to do my chores leads me to do things I might not ordinarily do. For example; avoiding her at all times.
