When CH3COONa is added to aq. solution of CH3COOH, the pH value increase or decrease?

The pH will increase.

Explanation:

CH_3OONa is formed by reaction of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and acetic acid (CH_3COOH).

Acetic acid is a weak acid and sodium hydroxide is a strong base.

Thus , sodium acetate (CH_3COONa) is basic in nature.

When sodium acetate added to aq. solution of acetic acid which is acidic in nature, the concentration of H^+ decreases.

So , there is an increase in the pH of the solution.
