There are multiple parts to the question so i'll try and keep it organized

Explanation:

if it costs $2,250 to print 500 calendars, it can be shown as
#500x=2,250#
#x=4.5#
This means it costs $4.5 to print one calendar.

let's say the shelter decides to set the price at $10. Their profit per calendar is shown as
#10-4.5#
#5.5#
which means if they sell each calendar for $10, they will make a $5.5 profit

The equation to find profit would be:
#m=c(10)-c(4.5)#
simplified:
#m=c(5.5)#

to find all of the prices, just plug each number into #c#
if #c=50; m=(50)(5.5), m=27.50#
so if they sell 50 calendars, they will make $27.50

1) the price used provides creates a profit for the shelter while also being the most affordable price that people will pay for it.

2) I used an equation, because by allowing a variable to be plugged in, you can fill it with any hypothetical number
