Here mass of the sodium atom remains same because electron has no mass.

Explanation:

After losing one electron , sodium atom becomes sodium ion having a unit positive charge.

This is because number of protons becomes one more than the number of electrons.

The equation for this is:-

Na -> Na^+ + e^(-1)Na→Na++e−1
