Why is oxygen transported as a liquid in rocket instead of as a gas?

because liquids can fill more tanks than gas does

Explanation:

As with any substance, oxygen takes up much less space as a liquid than it does as a gas, so engineers can fit more oxygen into the same tank.
Liquid combustibles can be controlled easier. Also, liquified oxygen has less volume than the gas. This means the rocket can carry more fuel

Why oxygen is transported in liquid form rather in gas form?

1. Liquids occupy less volume than gas . If they have to transport it as gas, then they will need like a big train with some 10000 tanks to transfer the same
amount as that by a truck in liquid form(Just a ball park example, don't take the example numbers literally).
Also, when the valve is opened, it becomes gas and
so they can be used for any purposes involving oxygen gas directly. Hope it helps.
