For example sin is positive in 1st Quadrant but negative in 4th Quadrant.

Explanation:

I use the following to remember the signs. ALL SILVER TEA CUPS .

These are used to denote which of the trigonometric identity is positive.

A ll - In 1st quadrant all the identities are positive
S ilver - In 2nd quadrant sin theta and csc theta are positive
T ea - In 3rd quadrant tan theta and cot theta are positive
C ups - In 4th quadrant cos theta and sec theta are positive.
