How can you write an expression using variables BB and CC to find the perimeter of the quad. The quadrangle has the following lengths: BB, CC, B-2B2, C-BCB. Step 2 if B=11B=11 and C=16C=16 what is the perimeter?

The perimeter is simply the sum of the lengths of the sides, so B+C+B−2+C−BB+C+B2+CB. We can collect like terms to get B+2C-2B+2C2. Substituting in B=11B=11 and C=16C=16 gives 11+32-2=4111+322=41 units.
