Two major sources are embryonic stem cells and bone marrow stem cells.
Explanation:
Embryonic stem cells are found in the developing fetus which step by step differentiate to complete the development of a fully functional organism.
Bone marrow stem cells are found in the long bones of the skeleton (eg. thigh bones)and they are primarily responsible for the formation of red blood cells.
