Here's what I get.

Step 1. Calculate the TBP

The formula for TBP is

where

$T * =$ $T"*" =$ TBP
$T l l =$ $T color(white)(ll)=$ D86 BP
$a$ $a$ and $b$ $b$ are the coefficients for the conversion.

I used Excel to calculate the TBP values.

Step 3. Calculate the VABP

The formula for the Volume Average Boiling Point (VABP) is

$VABP = \frac{T_{10%} + T_{30%} + T_{50%} + T_{70%} + T_{90%}}{5}$ $"VABP" = (T_text(10%) + T_text(30%) + T_text(50%) + T_text(70%) + T_text(90%))/5$

where the $T_{i}$ $T_i$ are the D86 temperatures for volume percentages distilled.

For the D86 distillation

$VABP = \frac{(76.4 + 140.6 + 205.7 + 240.3 + 265.5) °C}{5} = 185.7 °C$ $"VABP" = "(76.4 + 140.6 + 205.7 + 240.3 + 265.5) °C"/5 = "185.7 °C"$

For the TBP

Step 4. Calculate the slopes of the distillation curves

The formula for the slope of a distillation curve is

$Slope = \frac{T_{70 %} - T_{10 %}}{60}$ $"Slope" = (T_text(70 %) - T_text(10 %))/60$

For the D86 distillation

$Slope = \frac{(240.3 - 76.4) °C}{60} = 2.73 °C$ $"Slope" = "(240.3 - 76.4) °C"/60 = "2.73 °C"$

For the TBP
