$x=13$ and $y=11$

Here the easiest way to solve is by using substitution method as in second equation $x=y+2$ , $x$ is clearly expressed in terms of $y$ .

Substituting value of $x=y+2$ in the equation $3x-4y=-5$ , we get

$3(y+2)-4y=-5$

or $3y+6-4y=-5$

or $-y=-5-6=-11$

i.e. $y=11$

and hence $x=12+2=13$

Solution is $x=13$ and $y=11$
