I got $1600"ft"^2$

Consider the diagram:

here we can see two rectangles:

the small one of dimensions $100"ft"$ and $50"ft"$

the big one of dimensions $[100+(2*5)]"ft"$ and $[50+(2*5)]"ft"$ formed considering also the walk.

Subtracting the area of the small one from the area of the big one we should get the area of the walk.

$A=[100+(2*5)xx50+(2*5)]-[100xx50]=6600-5000=1600"ft"^2$
