Can somebody determine the point between these charges where the electric field force equals to zero? Thank you!

Two charges of respectively +10,0µC and +40,0µC are within 50 centimeters from each other. --> electric field force = 0 ?

Let,the electric field force is zero at `xm` distance from the `10 muC` charge

Clearly both the charges try to push a test charge in opposite direction.

So,we can write,

`(9*10^9*10*10^-6)/(x^2) = (9*10^9*40*10^-6)/((50/100) -x)^2`

Or, `10/x^2 = 40/(0.5-x)^2`

Or, `4x^2 = (0.5-x)^2`

Or, `2x = 0.5 -x`

Or, `3x = 0.5`

So, `x= 0.167 m`
