Yes.

I haven't got a very thorough explanation because it is quite simple.

Think about it with apples and pears (very basic).

If a have #1# apple and #1# pear. You get an apple and a pear.

If you double each variable eg. #2# apples and #2#pears you will get an end product that is double of the other one.

#4# fruits = DOUBLE of #2# fruits.
