symmetry If the polar bonds are symmetrically arranged around the central atom the molecule will be non polar.

Explanation:

An example is Carbon TetraChloride. The bond between Carbon and Chlorine is polar. However the four Chlorine are arranged in a tetrahedral structure which is symmetrical. Because the charge is the same on all of the outside the molecule the molecule is non polar.
