First click on gray button "y="... and choose $y_1=$

then enter the equation using numerical buttons and the button to the right of the "alpha" key. $X, T, theta, n$ ...

Next you may want to change your "window" also in gray. I've used xmin=-5, x-max= 10, ymin= -5, ymax = 10.
