The slope-intercept form equation is of the form:
$y = mx + c$

We need to arrange $2x - 5y + 6 = 0$ in the form above, right?

Here we go,

$-5y + 6 = -2x$

By factoring $-5$ on my left hand side,
$-5(y - 6/5) = -2x$

Dividing both sides by $-5$
$=> y - 6/5 = (-2x)/(-5)$

$=> y - 6/5 = 2/5(x)$

$y = 2/5x + 6/5$
