$3x^3-18x^2+24x=3x(x-4)(x-2)$

Note that all of the terms are divisible by $3x$ , so we can separate that out.

$3x^3-18x^2+24x=3x(x^2-6x+8)$

Note that $6=4+2$ and $8=4*2$ , so:
