Find a pair of numbers that add up to $- 3$ $-3$ and has $2$ $2$ as a product.

Factoring $2$ $2$ will give two possibilities:
$2 = 1 \cdot 2 = (- 1) . (- 2)$ $2=1*2=(-1).(-2)$

You will find that only $- 1 and - 2$ $-1and-2$ will add up to $- 3$ $-3$
