$y = e^{- x}$ $y=e^{-x}$

Given function:

$y = - log x$ $y=-\log x$

$log x = - y$ $\log x=-y$

$x = e^{- y}$ $x=e^{-y}$

Now, interchanging $y$ $y$ & $x$ $x$ we get

$y = e^{- x}$ $y=e^{-x}$

Thus, $y = e^{- x}$ $y=e^{-x}$ is inverse of given function $y = - log x$ $y=-\log x$
