You take the mean value of each of $x and y$

Consider $x$ .

The mean is $1/2(-7/3-11/2) = 1/2(-14/6-33/6) = -47/12$

Consider $y$

The mean is $1/2(10/7+3/14)=1/2(20/14+3/14) =23/28$

So the mid point is $(x,y)=(-47/12,23/28)$
