Slope is the coefficient of x which is 3

Explanation:

consider the standard form y=mx+c where m is the slope (gradient).

Comparing to y=3x-2 we find by that the slope m = 3

The y-intercept is when the graph crosses the y-axis. The y axis is at x=0 so we substitute x=0 and we get:

y=3(0)-2

y=-2
