You make a table with x values which you want to fill in the formula. Then plug them in and get the y value.

Explanation:

First, define some x values, like 0,1,2,3,4 etc whatever is said in your book. Then plug these values into the formula, so it becomes

f(0) = (1/3)^(0-3)

f(1) = (1/3)^(1-3)

and so on. These values you place at the defined x values and you got your table!

The graph should look like this
