$\frac{3 x^{2} - 3}{6 x - 6} = \frac{3 (x^{2} - 1)}{6 (x - 1)}$ $(3x^2-3)/(6x-6) = (3(x^2-1))/(6(x-1))$

$= \frac{3 (x - 1) (x + 1)}{3 (x - 1) \cdot 2}$ $=(3(x-1)(x+1))/(3(x-1)*2)$

$= \frac{x + 1}{2}$ $=(x+1)/2$
