I got as far as: log[(x+4)/(x+1)]

Explanation:

I would use the fact that:
logx-logy=log(x/y) to get:
log5(x+4)-log5(x+1)=log[(cancel(5)(x+4))/(cancel(5)(x+1))]=log[(x+4)/(x+1)]
