$\frac{m + 4}{m - 6} = \frac{m - 6 + 10}{m - 6}$ $(m+4)/(m-6) = (m-6+10)/(m-6)$

$= \frac{m - 6}{m - 6} + \frac{10}{m - 6}$ $= (m-6)/(m-6)+10/(m-6)$

$= 1 + \frac{10}{m - 6}$ $= 1+10/(m-6)$
