As we need to solve for yy, we transpose -3x3x to the right hand side to get

5y=-10 + 3x5y=10+3x

We divide both sides by 5

(cancel(5)y)/cancel(5)=(-10 + 3x)/5

y = - 10/ 5 + (3x)/5

y = - 2 + (3x)/5
