Solution is $x=1/3,y=13/6$

The equations are $y=0.5x+2$ and $2y=4x+3$

Multiplying the first equation by $2$ we get

$2y=x+4$ but $2y=4x+3$

Hence $x+4=4x+3$ or $3x=1$ or $x=1/3$

Putting $x=1/3$ in $y=0.5x+2$

we get $y=0.5*1/3+2=1/6+2=13/6$

Hence solution is $x=1/3,y=13/6$
