Here, `x` is the unknown

Leaving `x` at the R.H.S
We shift 8 to the L.H.S (numerator)

so now we get:
`9/6` x 8 `=` `x`

on solving:
`x` `=` 12

So our proportion is :
`9/6` `=` `12/8`
note: on solving the fractions we get the equal value of 1.5 on both the sides
L.H.S = R.H.S hence they are in proportion.
