$x - 2y =5$ ======> 1

so, $x = 2y + 5$

$2x - 4y = 1$ ======> 2

substituting value of $x$ in 2, we get $2*(2y+5) - 4y =1$

=> $cancel(4y) + 10 - cancel(4y) = 1$ => $10 = 1$ which is not TRUE.

Hence, No Solutions for the given equations.
