$x = - 4$ $x=-4$
$y = 2$ $y=2$

$y = 2 x + 10$ $y=2x+10$ -----(1)
$y = - 2 x - 6$ $y=-2x-6$ ------------(2)

Substitute $y = 2 x + 10$ $y=2x+10$ in equation (2)

$2 x + 10 = - 2 x - 6$ $2x+10=-2x-6$
$2 x + 2 x = - - 6 - 10$ $2x+2x=--6-10$
$4 x = - 16$ $4x=-16$
$x = \frac{- 16}{4} = - 4$ $x=(-16)/4=-4$

Substitute $x = - 4$ $x=-4$ in equation (1)

$y = 2 (- 4) + 10$ $y=2(-4)+10$
