The Laws of Exponents relevant here are
1. (bc)m=bmcm
2. (bm)n=bmn
3. bm=1bm
4. bmbn=bm+n

((6y)3)42y5

=(6y)122y5 by Rule [2]

=612y122y5 by Rule [1]

=6122y12y5 by Rule [3]

=6122y7 by Rule [4]

You could evaluate 6122 but that's just arithmetic.
