Equation in vertex form is y=-(x+1)^2+4

Explanation:

y= -x^2-2x+3 = -x^2-2x-1+1+3

= -(x^2+2x+1)+4= -(x+1)^2+4 .

Comparing with vertex form of equation y= a(x-h)^2+k ; (h,k) being vertex . Here h=-1 , k=4

So vertex is at (-1,4)
Equation in vertex form is y=-(x+1)^2+4
