How does cellulose differ from glycogen?

Cellulose is a long chain of linked sugar molecules (glucose) that gives wood its strength. It is the main component of plant cell walls. Humans can not digest cellulose.
The thickening power of cellulose also allows for more air to be whipped into products like ice cream, or whipped topping. Cellulose allows for the production of thick and creamy food items without the use of as much fat.
Glycogen is a very large, branched polymer of glucose residues that can be broken down to yield glucose molecules when energy is needed.
Most of glycogen is stored in our liver.
