bat=ball + 100 (2)
so from (1):
bat = 110 - ball
subs this into (2):
110 - ball = ball + 100
10 = 2 x ball
ball = 10/2 = 5c
So from (1) bat must be 110 - 5 = 105c
i.e $1 more.
